Sermons by Steve Cavill
Steve tells the story of the Israelites sending the 12 spies into the Promised Land but only two of them (Caleb and Joshua) trusted God, so the whole nation spent the next 38 years wandering in the desert before coming back to the Jordan, across from Jericho. Now they are ready to trust God and enter the land. Are you prepared to trust God?
Nearly every good thing starts with labour and pain! Steve starts in Genesis looking at the physical pain of bringing a new life into the world before going on to the pain associated with bringing about the Church, a new Pastor, the New Creation and also our own New Birth.
The Prophesy: Psalm 2 The Preparation: Mark 1:14-15 The Pronouncement: Rev 22:6-17 Coming ready or not: Matt 24:36-51. The return of Jesus Christ is “imminent”. You must be ready!
Why Church? What is your purpose in going to church? Romans 12:1-8 A Living Sacrifice What is your motivation for going to church? Give yourself as a living sacrifice Move to serve Ask the Lord to guide you
Steve takes us to Psalm 23 where we learn that as we Follow Christ we can trust Him to refresh our souls, to guide us in the right paths, to protect us, to correct us and to give us joy. We are important to Him.
Steve takes another look at loving God; this time comparing the dictionary meaning of love with the Biblical meaning (1 Cor 13) and also looking at the joy that is ours as we Love God.
