Speaker: Daniel Larson Building Believers Matthew 4:19 Daniel speaks on the Biblical methods of Building Believers Model of Discipleship Forms of Growth/Discipleship Areas of Growth Not confident about Building Believers? Start making small investments into someone’s life….. it is better than burying it
Keith challenges us that if we want to Build Believers then we have to walk closely with Christ.
Matt speaks to us from Matthew 25:14-30 – The Parable of the Talents (or Bags of Gold). God gives us all sorts of resources to use, to bring honour to Him. Will you be successful in God’s eyes by using what He has given you? As disciples, we should be investing our talents to make other disciples.
Jonah was sent by God to the lost people of the great city of Nineveh but he refused to go. At first he ran from his responsibilities both to God and to Nineveh. The question that we have to ask ourselves is – “Are we too turning our backs on the lost people whom God would have us speak to?”
Keith tells us that to reach the lost we have to be where they are. Jesus left heaven and came to earth – we have to go out of the church. God can use whatever ability you offer up to Him.
Peter starts with Luke 7:36-38 and looks at God’s love for the lost, touching on the parables of the lost sheep, the lost coin and the lost son. You’ll be challenged to develop your own relationship with Christ so He can use you to share His love with others, to touch ‘lost lives’.
Steve takes us to Psalm 23 where we learn that as we Follow Christ we can trust Him to refresh our souls, to guide us in the right paths, to protect us, to correct us and to give us joy. We are important to Him.
David looks at the Christ we Follow – this glorious, amazing, majestic, limitless, infinite, triumphant, majestic Christ who has chosen to place all His fullness in us who believe in Him. We ‘remember’ Christ and therefore seek to participate with Him in His ministry.
Following Christ may be a costly commitment but we are called to have the mindset of Christ and to walk closely with Him instead of following Him from afar. The great thing is that we don’t have to do this all by ourselves – we have the Holy Spirit indwelling us and leading us!
